Your Tutor: Gregory Hunt (Mediator)

Gregory (Gregg) is one of Europe's most experienced dispute resolution professionals. He has worked in ADR since 1995, spending 13 years with The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and its subsidiary IDRS Limited incorporating The City Disputes Panel; 7 years at The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and 2 years with consumer dispute resolution bodies, including ombudsmen. Gregg held Executive Director roles within all organisations and was CEDR’s first Global Group Director of Dispute Resolution.

​In April 2016 Gregg formed Hunt ADR Limited which is registered with the Civil Mediation Council as a mediation provider and a training provider and is the UKs largest arbitration service provider, incorporating Travel Arbitration. Gregg also established fooDResolution in 2018 to provide a vehicle for people engaged in ADR to donate to local food banks. Between 2010 and 2018 Gregg was a Statutory Member of CEDR.

​Gregg has mediated more than 100 times with parties ranging from individuals to private and public companies. His mediations have been in a wide range of sectors with claims ranging from £500 to £30m. He has co-mediated on cases with a value of up to £300m.​ As a professional mediator, Gregg mediates disputes on a regular basis and his experience covers wide-ranging areas of civil and commercial disputes.

Gregg has trained hundreds of people to be mediators both as Head of Faculty for Hunt ADR and also as member of faculty for other organisations. He has trained mediators and delivered mediation and arbitration CPD events in person in the UK, the United States, Hong Kong, Spain and Poland and online participants have come from the UK, France, Canada, Chile and South Africa. Gregg has spoken at many international events and worked on ADR projects in 22 countries. He is a Guest Lecturer at The University of Exeter and The University of Hull.

Aims

This course is pitched as an introduction to mediation and no previous exposure to mediation is required. Participants will learn about mediation as a dispute resolution tool and the different stages of the mediation process. Videos range from 10-50 minute and upon completion of the course you will receive the Certificate in ADR from Hunt ADR.
